There are two BBQ facilities provided, one at the poolside area with two BBQ facilities and one at the lower garden area, Cabana 3 has a private BBQ / Braai area but can also utilize the other BBQ / Braai areas.

SELF CATERING ACCOMMODATION

Umtamvuna View Cabanas is a Self-Catering Facility unless meal arrangements have been pre booked. We are environmentally conscious regarding the consumption of water and will only supply you with clean bath towels when you arrive, then again after 4th day – Each adult will receive a – (bath sheet + hand towel).  We are grateful for your understanding as we collectively unite to support the mindful consumption of this very scarce natural resource. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SWIMMING TOWELS as Cabana towels are not to be removed from the Cabana.

Below is a summary of what we have in the unit and will eliminate you bringing unnecessary kitchen stuff and hopefully will free up some space in your car!  Of course, you are welcome to bring whatever you want to make your time in the kitchen minimal and easy

On your arrival, Your Cabana will have some complementary items.  These complimentary items on the list below should get you started and once you run out, you will need to provide your own for the rest of your stay.

Complimentary arrival items to get you started:

1.        ‘Welcome’ coffee, tea, sugar and small fresh milk to get you started.

2.       There is a small dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tabs, sponge, scrubber, 2 x dustbin black bags, floor wash and bug spray.  BRING YOUR OWN MOSQUITO SPRAY!

3.       In the bathrooms, there will be 2 x toilet rolls, soap, shampoo, shower gel, small tooth paste, hand lotion and hand wash.

4.       Paper serviettes

5.       Dishwasher tablets

Inside your Cabana

6.       Fridge/freezer – cold water in fridge and  ice trays in freezer

7.       Microwave

8.       Stove and Oven

9.       There is a dishwasher in the unit and with dishwasher tablets.

10.   There is a toaster, sandwich toaster.

11.   There is a kettle, sugar bowl and a milk jug.

12.   Coffee plunger

13.   Pots and pans and metal oven pans

14.   Glass oven dishes, glass salad bowls, small dip bowls

15.   Plastic bowls, colander, water pitcher

16.   The usual cutlery, serving spoons, salad spoons etc.

17.   Wine glasses, beer glasses and other glasses

18.   Tin opener, wine opener, potato peeler, veggie knife, braai tongs etc.

19.   Plastic bread board, tea tray

20.   Placemats, coasters, hot dish table mats, serviette rings, paper serviettes and toothpicks.

21.   Table cloth, dish dry cloths, dish wash cloths, clothes dry rack for wet towels, iron and iron board

22.   Matches, tea candles and a small battery-operated lantern to use if there is Loadshedding

23.   Broom, mop, bucket, dust pan and brush, dust cloth.

24.   Clean sheets when you arrive and a change of linen again on the 4th day,(optional)

25.    We will also spring clean on these days (optional).  Should you require daily cleaning; a cleaner can be arranged at an additional cost.

26.   There is no laundry on the premises but a Launderette in town is available

27.   There is a ‘dry’ bar from which you can serve your own drinks while using the braai area at the pool or garden.

28.   There is basic DSTV stay package available.

29.    We have a selection of books in an upstairs ‘library’ available should you need any reading material.

30.   Free Wi Fi

Some Basic House rules

·         Please ensure the gate is closed after leaving and entering

·         Children are the sole responsibility of the parents, there is no lifeguard at the pool

·         No smoking inside any of the Cabanas, please use designated smoking areas outside

·         Cabana Bathroom towels are not for use at the pool or the beach

·         No visitors allowed without authorization from the office

·         Only registered guests allowed inside the Cabanas

·         There will be no refunds for early departures, breakdown of appliances, Electricity outages, Lack of water due to supply from Municipality, Bad weather or as a result of bad weather, road condition of for any reason or situation beyond our control

·         Check out time is strictly 10am and check in time is after 2pm
